A New WOW PARK in Denmark

Following the success of the first park in Skjern, we are back in Denmark to create a new WOW PARK.

More space, more activities, more fun – the promises and results are there!

The novelties

This second WOWPARK is an outdoor adventure park located in Billund, Denmark, designed for families and nature lovers.

It is a huge forest playground, covering an area equivalent to more than 40 football pitches, where young and old alike can explore, climb, slide, jump and have fun in a safe natural setting.

This park, close to the internationally renowned Legoland, offers an interesting complementary attraction for tourists in the region. This duality attracts a large number of visitors and has made the region a must-see family tourist destination.

Innovative outdoor activities

To make this new park ultra-attractive, we worked with the client to devise new activities in the trees and on the ground.

These activities had to meet specific specifications combining playability and integration into the forest.

Here are a few examples of the new activities we have introduced:

  • A real 3D net labyrinth
  • Connection nets ever more diversified: multiple ways net, "waves" nets, net & wood canopy...
  • Flying collective swings,
  • A waterfall of toboggans,
  • A boa net hanging,
  • An artificial giant sea net: 300 m².

The classic features of a net course are also present: tree house, slides, footbridges, nets, chimneys, zip lines on the ground, etc. Some activities had to be installed on artificial posts.

A large-scale project

This large-scale project required significant preparation and forward planning. We set up a dedicated project team to see the project through and ensure that the client's deadlines were met.

Record figures

  • 3 months of work,
  • a team of 17 people,
  • 6 villages of huts in the air,
  • a giant bounce net of 300m ² on artificial poles,
  • 3 rope courses on the ground,
  • 6 seas net,
  • 1 'Vertical Labyrinth' net of 6 floors,
  • 6 Ziplines on the ground ...

International recognition

The park has received a very warm welcome from the public and even the press!

Two articles have appeared in the international press:

  • National Geographic published an article on the Danish town of Billund and its WOW PARK, describing the town as the “Capital of Children” (link to the article: here)
  • The Guardian titled its article “Best. Day. Ever.” (link to the article here)
