Platform modification with Uniclou
First stage of a project underway in Natura Parc in Belgium: 27 platforms have been installed using the innovative Uniclou system, designed to extend the life of structures while respecting the health of trees. This system limits compression and supports the natural growth of the tree — a major advance in sustainable maintenance.
It is no longer a question of tightening that would compress the tree, but of several partial drillings that will live with the tree.
This modification will reduce maintenance over the next 10 years while preserving the health of the forest.
With a view to optimisation, we reused 12 existing platforms. This approach reduces the customer's budget and makes use of existing equipment that is in good condition.

Having a long-term vision for your adventure park is essential, both from an ecological and economic point of view. We have compared the different tree anchoring solutions to help you see more clearly.
Here is an overview of the main fastening solutions, compared according to their ecological impact and durability.
Platform fastening:
- Conventional clamping: economical and reversible, but requires frequent maintenance to prevent harmful compression of the shaft.
- Full drilling: extremely stable, but requires expertise and specialised equipment.
- Petals platforms (strap clamping): lightweight and easy to install, but less durable and limited in capacity. Requires regular maintenance due to compression of the tree.
- Le Clou SVA (partial drilling): tree-friendly, quick to install and very durable.
Fixing lifeline cables and rope course workshops:
- Le Clou SVA same advantages as for platforms.
- Growing anchor: environmentally friendly and scalable, with two versions depending on the load.
- Dead turn : simple and flexible, but potentially damaging if maintenance is not carried out regularly (compression principle).
Le Clou SVA - a French innovation
‘Le Clou - Sauvegarde Vos Arbres’ is a French company specialising in research and development, which has been designing eco-friendly anchoring solutions dedicated to the preservation of tree heritage for over five years.
Its flagship innovation, UNICLOU, is based on a partial drilling anchoring system, carried out according to a rigorous technical and health protocol. This method guarantees the strength, safety and longevity of trees, while respecting their biological integrity.
With more than 120 resistance tests carried out on different species, the product adapts to the specific needs of each project:
- Cable fastening: lifelines, guy wires and backups.
- Tree platforms and tree houses.
- Rope course workshops.
- Net courses.
- But also shade cloth, enclosure and decoration fastening, etc.
Today, more than 150 customers in France place their trust in them.
Partial drilling, an eco-friendly solution
The Uniclou tree fastening solution meets several objectives for adventure park (or tree climbing park) operators. In particular, it allows you to:
- let the tree live and not damage it,
- double your capacity on a tree,
- eliminate maintenance for approximately 10 years,
- be easily installed with your own tools in less than 10 minutes,
- be inexpensive with an ROI of between x3 and x20,
- refocus your business on customer satisfaction.

Maintenance of a giant zip line above a lakeCliquez pour utiliser cette solution
Following the identification of a dead tree on the zip line course, and in order to ensure the safety of all users, it was necessary to modify the course layout. After an on-site assessment, we sought the best solution for reinstalling this 160-metre zip line above the lake, which is one of the park's highlights.
We chose to prioritise the use of existing structures and limit the impact on other courses when defining the new route.
A complex construction
The presence of the lake was a challenge that had to be overcome. The cable had to be stretched across this body of water. Our construction team was able to find the right solutions thanks to their experience and expertise.
