[Net adventure Park] A themed outdoor park in Romania
Design and construction of a themed net adventure park
We have been contacted to create a leisure park in Romania in 2023.
Objective: Create a themed outdoor park with the following main activities:
- Aerial courses including suspended net seas, tree houses, and platforms connected by a network of walkways and net canopies.
- Playground activities and play areas.
Target audience: families.

Project specifics:
- The project is located in Romania's largest ski resort in the Carpathian Mountains (medium altitude, 1,000 m). It is a tourist destination that attracts many visitors in both summer and winter.
- The project is large in scale, with a large area available and steep slopes. Weather constraints associated with the mountain environment must be taken into account (heavy snowfall).
- The activities must fit within a strong thematic framework. A significant effort must be made to integrate the activities into the environment and the theme defined by the client. The theme revolves around local folklore with the presence of mysterious beings and animals in a preserved natural setting.
- The activities must be able to be carried out without equipment and with limited supervision.
Why add scenography to a theme park?
Storytelling enriches the adventure park experience by adding an immersive and emotional dimension. By constructing a coherent narrative universe, the park no longer simply offers attractions: it offers a truly memorable experience that sets it apart from the competition.
This scripted approach is also a powerful marketing tool. It captures the attention of the target audience by promising an original and captivating experience. By regularly updating the story, it becomes easy to build visitor loyalty and encourage them to return to discover new chapters in the adventure.
Our proposal
The project consists of several activities on the ground and at height. The proposed design offers a variety of sensations suited to all visitor profiles. The course has been designed to combine exploration, fun, and wonder, offering varied and complementary experiences.
Unique activities have been specially designed for this park, with particular attention paid to their integration into the forest, their relevance to the storytelling, and the overall aesthetics of the installations. Each element has been designed to enhance harmony with the environment while maintaining a strong playful dimension, which is essential to the spirit of the place.

To reinforce the park's thematic identity, a custom-made arch was designed and integrated around an iconic tree. A veritable scenographic portal, it allows visitors to immerse themselves as they pass from one universe to another.
The ground-level route is punctuated by a series of fun and sensory games: tunnels to explore, balance beams, distorting mirrors, musical ropes... All these elements stimulate curiosity and invite young and old alike to enjoy an interactive and original adventure.

The aerial activities are centered around a network of suspended canopies that wind their way through the trees of the forest. Platforms and tree houses punctuate the course, including an iconic structure in the shape of a giant nest, a real visual landmark of the site.
The whole, composed of brightly colored nets and cabins, fully reflects the playful and thematic universe of the park.
This colorful palette extends to the ground through a path dotted with multicolored “grasses,” reinforcing the sensory immersion.
Some passages offer a more athletic dimension, with net chimneys, slides, and obstacle courses that invite exploration and self-improvement.
Extensions are already planned for the coming years!
Regulations and safety
We have designed our aerial activities in accordance with the High Ropes Course standard (EN-15567). Ground-based activities have been designed in accordance with playground standards. These more restrictive standards ensure optimal safety on ground-based installations, while prioritizing an appropriate level of supervision for aerial activities.

Project stages
Stage 1: Project feasibility and scope
- Project scope (budget/land/necessary authorizations/etc.).
- Initial site visit to determine project feasibility => preliminary design and macro-zoning. Consideration of traffic flows, space optimization.
- Definition of scope and theme.
- Third-party involvement to refine the theme.
- Benchmarking of desired activities.
Stage 2: Park design and studies
- Second site visit to define the project design.
- Final costing.
- Project approval.
- Technical studies.
Stage 3: Construction
- Manufacture of modules in the workshop and preparation of construction materials.
- At the same time: preparation of the site and access routes for construction - carried out by the client.
- On-site construction of activities.
- Two-stage intervention to adapt to weather constraints while optimizing the provisional opening schedule.
- Regulatory inspections.
- Development of the park, access routes, and infrastructure related to public reception - carried out by the client.
- Opening to the public (date not yet defined according to the latest administrative authorizations).
